Music Ideas

Our group all decided that we wanted to explore all possible music genres to use as a backing track for our trailer. I decided to look into using a piece of electronic dance music as a backing track. I feel like this would be an appropriate choice of genre as it very contemporary, much like our trailer. It is also something that is made using technology and often released via social media. This would link to the theme of the "technological" generation we are living in that is what our film is largely based around. In addition to that our target audience are likely to be people who are interested in keeping up to date with modern, new music so this would appeal to them. 

When looking through my sound cloud I found the deep house song in the video above. I believe this song would be perfect for our film trailer as it has a really current feel. As we want the audience to like the antagonist at first and then seriously dislike him we don't want the music to be too menacing as this would retract from the audience engaging positively with the antagonist, however, we also don't want the music too upbeat as then it wouldn't match what is going on later in the trailer. This song also has some high tempo moments and slow moments.
